When you click on Rate plans you will see the Rate plans list. Here you can edit existing rate plans or create new ones.
Click on the “New” button at the top to start creating a new Rate plan.
Name your rate plan - the name will appear in the back office calendar so you can easily identify it. Suitable names sound like “Standard room Autumn 2020”.
Next, select the room/property type you want to assign this rate to from the drop-down (Property/room types are managed in the Properties section).
Then select the Start and End dates of this Rate plan. The system will warn you if there is overlapping with an existing rate and will not allow you to Save this rate plan until you fix this overlapping.
Next, you will see an option to “Set as a new rate plan” or “Based on one of my current plans”. The second option will allow you to increase the new plan with a percentage of an existing plan. Very useful if you would like to quickly create a plan for some special dates.
If you select “Set as new rate plan” you will see a table with all days of the week and you can select when this plan is available. Very useful if you have different cancellation policies or package requirements for weekdays and weekends.
If in Settings > General settings you have set “Pricing type: Per person” and added some “Children pricing” in the table there will be different columns for Adults and Children for each day of the week. Very useful if you have different prices for weekdays and weekends.
After you fill in add prices you will see an option “Want to include meals in this rate plan?: Yes/No”. If you select “Yes” then you will see Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner with checkbox in front of each mealtime - checked means available, and you will see a price field next to each mealtime. If you leave any of the mealtimes checked but the price is 0 this means that the meal is free (included in the room/property rate).
“Want to set a minimum length of stay for this rate plan?” allows you to set a minimum booking period. Very useful if you would like to sell packages.
“How many days before check-in can guests book in this rate plan?” - allows you to set the starting time of accepted bookings before the first day of this plan. Very useful if you wouldn’t like to start getting bookings for the summer season during the previous winter but you still want to create the plan and be ready for summer.
“Which cancellation policy do you want to use for this rate plan?” - click in the field and you will see a list of previously created Cancellation policies. Pick one or more from that list.
Save & Close after you are done with all options.
Your newly created rate plan will be available for booking through the back office Calendar or through the front end booking engine.
Cancellation policies
In the rate plan section at the top left corner, there is a button “Policies”. Clicking on this button will take you to the property policies list view. Here you can create and edit cancellation policies.
At the “Policies” list view click on the New button, type in the title of the policy and set “Is cancellation: Yes”. You will see “Cancelled before days” field where you can specify the days before check-in that this cancellation policy will be enforced. For example, if you enter 5 here, then this cancellation policy will be valid up to 5 days before check-in. The next option is a selection “Payment rule: Flat or Percentage”. Click (tap) on a button to select the type of charge and enter the amount in the field underneath. The charge for cancelling in this period will be owed by the customer if this policy is enforced. You can set the “Cancellation cost: 0” so there is no charge if this policy is enforced. Save & close to see this policy in the list.
