In this section are listed multiple Settings sub-sections. You can fine-tune the system here to make it best suit your needs.
Email Settings
This section is to set your email sending.
By default, your system will use the server’s email sending system but it is best if you set up your own SMTP server here. The benefits doing so are many but those that are worth mentioning is that all emails from your system will appear to be sent from your own domain instead of bbify.com and this will minimize the chances of emails being sent to spam. You can also check the logs of all your emails through your SMTP email provider.
Almost all hosting providers include emails and SMTP service with your website hosting. If you have your own website it is very good to use your own SMTP settings.
When you click on the “Email Settings” link you will see the following options:
Use SMTP?: Yes/No - if you select “Yes” more options will appear, follow the SMTP setup instructions provided by your hosting (email service) provider:
SMTP Authentication: Yes/No
SMTP Security: None/SSL/TLS
SMTP Port
SMTP Username
SMTP Password
SMTP Host
Test SMTP button - with this option you can test if the setup was done correctly.
Don’t forget to click on “Save & Close” button after you are done with the setup.
Email templates
In this section, you will see all the email templates that are going out to your customers.
Each template will have a title similar to “NEW_USER_WELCOME_EMAIL” which you will not be able to change. You will be able to set email’s Subject, assign the email to a language so you have different emails for different languages, set the status to “Published” or “Unpublished” and create the body of the email.
Email Body is the section where you construct your email.
There are very important Tags that you have to use in your email such as {USER_NAME}, {USER_EMAIL}, {COMPANY_NAME}. These tags will be automatically replaced by the system with the necessary real data. You have to use important tags at least once in your emails to help your customers. For your convenience, you will see a list of all available tags above the section of your email body.
General Settings
In this section, you will be able to set up some very important options for your system. In fact, this is the section where you have to start your setup.
