In this section, you will see all the languages currently available on the system. You can install/uninstall any language that you would like available on your front end booking engine. If your language is missing please let us know so we can add it. Keep in mind that we may not be able to translate the whole system in your language but we have made it super easy for you to translate it from English.
You can have one default language which will be the language used if there is no translation for some texts for your booking engine.
At the top right corner of each language, you will see a red circle with some numbers in it - this is the number of missing strings that have not been translated for this language.
If you would like to install a language for your company click on the “Get translation” button. The language will be immediately available and at your front end booking engine, this language will show as a flag and can be selected by your customers.
Once a language has been installed the “Get translation” button will be replaced with “Remove translation” button which you can use to uninstall a language and “Translate missing” button which you can click to translate missing strings.
Once you are in the missing strings area you will see a list of all untranslated texts on the left and empty text fields on the right for each missing translation. Type in the translation in this text field and click on the “Save & Close” button underneath.
After you have finished with the translation you have to click on the “Install” button in the top button toolbox. This will add all newly translated strings to your own language.
Across the top of the translations strings, you will see a secondary toolbox with some options:
Search - This is a text field which you can use to find any string in English or the language you are translating in. This is very useful to change a translation that you have already done or to find a specific text that you need to translate. Click on the “Clear” button to delete the text in the Search field.
“Search tools” button - This button will show some search filters that you can use to filter the items list. Here the available filters are: Select ordering > Show untranslated first and Select section > Frontend or Backend.
Under this secondary toolbox, you will see a handy percentage bar that tells you what is the percentage of already translated strings.
Work at your own pace with translations, you can go back and forth until you translate the whole system. It is more important to translate the Frontend for your international customers.
Don’t forget to click on the “Install” button when in the “Translate missing” screen to add newly translated strings to your active language.
If you ever wish to change a text specifically for your company needs even in the English language you can go to back-office > Dashboard > Translations and click directly on the language name (eg. English). You will see a list of all strings in 2 columns: Original on the left-hand side and Translation on the right-hand side. You can click on any string in the Translation column and change it, then click on “Save & Close” button underneath. This change will be immediately reflected in your system.
Here you will see a secondary toolbox with a Search box and “Search tools” button which you can use to narrow down the list to change specific texts.
This method of changing existing texts is only available for Installed languages on your system. It’s also best to use it when you need to change something only for your company. Texts in Translations can be modified or overridden sometimes but texts in your own translation override described above will never be changed unless you do that manually.
